Applications of through-flow theory
Abstract
The streamline curvature and matrix through flow solution techniques for meridional flow field problems are reviewed. A design method, based on the matrix through flow method is outlined, and verification of the method with a retrofit of a large low pressure fossil fuel steam turbine is summarized. An analysis flow field equation for a turbine of known geometry is presented. Uses of blade loss data in turbine design are discussed.
