Lasers in fluid mechanics and plasmadynamics; Fluid and Plasmadynamics Conference, 16th, Danvers, MA, July 12-14, 1983, Technical Papers
Abstract
Among the topics discussed are the character of fluid dynamics in closed cycle pulsed lasers, laser-based fluid mechanics diagnostic methods, unified laser diagnostics for combustion systems, gas dynamic effects in stimulated emission, two-dimensional flow effects in laser-supported combustion waves and laminar flames, the modeling of overlap thermal blooming in smoke, and the thermal theory of convectively cooled mirrors and windows for CW and repetitively pulsed lasers. Also considered are rotational nonequilibrium in HF chemical lasers, a CW, HF optical resonance transfer laser model, a blackbody-pumped CO2 laser experiment, an experimental study of a downstream-mixing CO2 laser, the development status, performance and potential applications of the copper halide laser, free electron lasers, Cerenkov lasers, and a multiline model for E-beam pumped XeF lasers.
