Properties of light transmission across an ultrasound beam with strong acoustooptical interaction
Abstract
The phase change of light passing through a sound wave caused by acoustooptical interaction (zeroth diffraction order) is studied experimentally. Experimental and theoretical data are compared with allowance for the anisotropic character of light diffraction. An experiment is conducted in which acoustooptical interaction is used to tune a Fabry-Perot cavity.
