The amplification of a polarized signal by an anisotropic laser superregenerative amplifier in the linear mode
Abstract
The amplification of a polarized signal of an anisotropic laser superregenerative amplifier in the linear mode with a four-mirror ring resonator containing a Faraday element is investigated. This type of amplifier is useful in developing a polarized-radiation communication system possessing high noise immunity. Results show that the size of the mean amplification coefficient of the amplifier depends to a small extent on the type of polarization of the incident radiation.
