The generation of picosecond pulses of stimulated combination scattering light in an external resonator
Abstract
The temporal and spectral characteristics of the stimulated combination scattering of light in an external resonator in carbon disulfide are studied. The generation of trains of single picosecond pulses of stimulated combination scattering radiation is obtained. The repetition period of the pulses is determined to be equal to the time of the double passage of the resonator cavity length by the light. A possible explanation for this observed phenomenon is presented.
