Stability of the incomplete Galerkin method in problems of wave diffraction by a bonded body
Abstract
The paper examines wave diffraction by a body bounded by a smooth closed curve in a medium with piecewise-differentiable characteristics. The existence and uniqueness of the solution obtained using the incomplete Galerkin method are demonstrated, and the stability of the approximate solution in a specified energy space is shown.
