Mode structure of a Fabry-Perot resonator of a gasdynamic CO2 laser
Abstract
The effect of a fast-flowing active medium on the structure of the characteristic oscillations of the Fabry-Perot resonator of a gasdynamic CO2 laser is investigated. Modes of different order are examined. A four-temperature model of the kinetic processes occurring in the active medium with variable gasdynamic parameters is used and the change in the index of refraction along the flow is included in numerical calculations. The intensity distributions obtained are compared with the results of the geometric optics approximation.
