Effects of main-flow turbulence on the flow structure in a lateral jet
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental studies have been performed on the effects of turbulence in the main flow on the flow structure in a transverse jet. It is found that the position of the maximum-velocity axis in the jet is independent of the turbulence intensity and is determined by the ratio of the dynamic pressures in the jet and main flow.
