Dispersion properties of a cylindrical waveguide with a dielectric layer
Abstract
Rectangular dielectric-load waveguides are widely used in microwave engineering, and their properties have been extensively studied. However, little research has been done to date on cylindrical partially filled waveguides. The dispersion properties of a cylindrical dielectric-loaded waveguide are examined, and it is shown that the phase velocities of the excited waves are strongly dependent on the waveguide geometry and on the relative permittivity of the dielectric layer.
