Development of thermoconvective instabilities in porous media. Influence of boundary conditions
Abstract
The development of convective flow in a closed vertical cylinder with isothermal upper and lower planes and adiabatic walls is studied. An experimental temperature profile was obtained using a cavity filled with glass spheres. The decomposition by Fourier series of the experimental profile confirms validity of the stability.
