Measurement of the flow field behind harmonically oscillating gust generators in the model subsonic wind tunnel (MUK)
Abstract
The installation of a gust generator is under consideration for the German-Netherland wind tunnel (DNW). Basic investigations in the model subsonic wind tunnel of the DFVLR Brunswick are designed to show which parameters influence the propagation of the gust field and which type of gust generator will be best suited for the DNW. Four different types of gust generators were investigated. The gust field was measured within the complete volume of the test-section using dynamic flow direction probes. This report presents the results of the investigations in the MUK.
