Investigation into a digital modulation method for a frequency hopping system, using a low bit rate
Abstract
A digital modulation method for a frequency hopping system was investigated. A relation exists between the bit rate and the spectral bandwidth of the modulated signal. This relation is investigated for various modulation methods (digital frequency modulation and correlative phase modulation methods). Minimum shift keying yields the smallest bandwidth.
