Transmission line transformers; theory and design data
Abstract
The fundamental theory, and calculated values of the reflection coefficient of transformers of different impedance variations, are presented. An exponential impedance variation allows a short-type construction, with a narrow bandwidth, while the linear variation has the advantage of a simple design. The best transmission line transformers use cos-exp- or triangular-g(x)- variations.
