Measurement errors in TDC's using digital techniques
Abstract
The measurement errors in time to digital converters using digital techniques such as scalers or shift registers are discussed. In either case the number of periodic events (clock transitions) occurring between start and stop inputs are counted. The discrete nature of this counting results in a digitizing error.
