Electron-cyclotron maser and whistler instabilities in a relativistic electron plasma with loss-cone distribution
Abstract
The electron-cyclotron maser and whistler instabilities were investigated. The dispersion on relation is solved numerically and extensive parametric studies are performed. It is found that growth rates for both instabilities increase with perpendicular hot electron temperature and the size of the loss cone.
