Y03: Prequalification of surface treatment. Measurement of laser reflecting power
Abstract
The reflecting power of aluminum mirrors thermally protected by a thick film dielectric coating was measured with a dye laser in the spectral range 5900 to 6100. Destructive interference occurs in the case of polarization perpendicular to the plane of incidence. This can reduce the reflecting power by 26%.
