Electromagnetic coupling to an infinite wire through a small aperture of arbitrary shape
Abstract
Electromagnetic coupling through an arbitrarily-shaped small aperture in an infinite conducting plane to an infinitely-long wire is investigated. The moment method is used to solve the integral equations numerically for the electric current on the wire and the equivalent magnetic current of the aperture. The general form of an equivalent circuit of the transmission line for the problem of a wire passing by an arbitrarily sized and shaped aperture is developed. Results for a small circular aperture are presented.
