Automated deghosting for trilateration radars
Abstract
A means for locating multiple radar targets using a range only radar was devised. Tens of targets may be located every few milliseconds with one radar transmitter and several receivers, in conjunction with a modest minicomputer. The ability to locate targets depends on two original developments which are described: (1) the geometric locations of the radar antennas with respect to one another; and (3) the computer algorithm used to deghost the incoming data.
