Program for analysis and optimization of cascaded quadrupoles in microwave
Abstract
A computer program for design, analysis and optimization of cascaded quadrupoles in microwaves is described. The circuit analysis is made from its ABCD matrix obtained by the multiplication of the ABCD matrices of each internally defined element. The results of the analysis include the SWR of both ports, the transductive gain, the noise figure, and the phase delay. As an aid in circuit design the program can supply the constant noise figure and gain circles, stability regions obtained from S parameters, circles of constant transductive gain having the generator or load impedance reflection coefficient as parameter, the impedance of both ports and other figures of interest for the analysis of linear circuits. There are two methods for optimization: conjugated gradient and direct search.
