Millimeter wave technology II : August 23-24, 1983, San Diego, California
Abstract
Millimeter wave devices and components are discussed, taking into account Ka/Q band IMPATT amplifier technology, Ka-band and Q-band communication amplifiers, the noise performance of millimeter-wave mixed tunneling and avalanche transit-time (MITATT) oscillators, millimeter-wave InP Gunn devices, quasi-optical planar mixers for millimeter-wave imaging applications, studies of a Fabry-Perot resonator for the millimeter range, and millimeter-wave integrated circuit components. Subjects related to instrumentation and special measurements are studied, giving attention to millimeter wave dielectric properties of materials, millimeter wave standards at the National Bureau of Standards, rain-induced cross polarization, extended interaction oscillator/amplifier modulator technology, and a high-power, coherent 95 GHz radar system. Topics concerned with millimeter wave systems and subsystems, and with millimeter wave communications are also considered.
