A method for solving a system of equations encountered in problems of electrodynamics

A method is proposed for solving a system of linear algebraic equations encountered in the analysis of an antenna consisting of discrete elements located at the nodes of an equidistant net as well as in other problems of electrodynamics. The method proposed here combines the advantages of the spectral and algebraic approaches, while being free of their shortcomings. The method employs conjugate gradients in conjunction with an efficient matrix multiplication procedure.
