Estimation of the probability of error in the reception of broadband signals
Abstract
A limiting relation is derived for the probability of error in the incoherent reception with linear accumulation of a broadband signal with relative phase shift keying. It is noted that the value of the derived relation consists in its rigor: the assumption of a Gaussian distribution need not be made but a minimum of a priori information about the received signals and noise must be assumed. The use of this relation makes it possible to significantly simplify the design and prediction of the noise immunity of digital systems of broadbandsignal transmission in the presence of intense structural noise in the case of a minimum number of initial data.
