Optimization of lines with small inhomogeneities for wide-band matching
Abstract
A mathematical model is developed for an inhomogeneous matching line. The requirement that maximum power be delivered to the load over the frequency band is shown to reduce the problem of the optimum synthesis of a matching microwave circuit to a maximin programming problem with a pseudo-convex efficiency function. The problem is solved using an epsilon-subgradient optimization algorithm. Computation and experimental results are presented.
