Properties of the mismatch functions of PSK signals with stepwise parabolic variations of phase
Abstract
It is shown that the mismatch (indeterminacy) function of a PSK signal with a stepwise parabolic variation of phase is ridge-shaped. Expressions are presented which make it possible to determine the depth of dips in the mismatch function on the ridge as well as the relative level of maximum lateral overshoots of the mismatch function and autocorrelation functions of these signals. These signals are compared with linear-FM signals as well as with multiphase signals based on Frank codes.
