The efficiency of a directional triorthogonal antenna system used for the polarization processing of signals under conditions of earth reflection
Abstract
A method for the polarization processing of signals wherein polarization matching is combined with polarization rejection is analyzed in terms of efficiency. The required energy of a radio link is determined, as is the range of the grazing angles of the reflected waves where the method proposed here is most effective. It is shown that a triorthogonal antenna system provides a power gain of 14-16 dB over an antenna with fixed polarization.
