Optimal reception of digital messages in a channel with variable parameters on a background of pulsed and fluctuation noise
Abstract
An algorithm for the optimal reception of binary signals in a channel with variable parameters on a background of fluctuation and pulsed noise is synthesized on the basis of the theory of conditional Markov processes and the theory of the nonlinear optimal filtering of discrete-continuous diffusion and nondiffusion Markov processes with a continuous set of states. Attention is given to the example of synthesis for opposite signals and pulsed noise in the form of a stream of radio pulses with an exponential envelope. An expression is obtained for the probability of error, and the efficiency of pulsed-noise suppression is evaluated.
