Detection of echo signals under conditions of ionospheric fadings
Abstract
An analysis is made of the effect of diurnal variations of amplitude fluctuations of radar signals obeying the Nakagami distribution on the conditional probability of correct detection. It is proposed that the conditional probability of the correct detection of echo signals in the course of a day can be stabilized by the control of radiated energy and observation time. The results have relevance to the description of amplitude fluctuations of satellite signals.
