Analytical calculation of a high-efficiency microwave rectifier with a Schottky-barrier diode
Abstract
The rectifier circuit of a rectenna element is analyzed with the aim of determining the main relationships between its characteristics and the Schottky-barrier diode (Au-GaAs) parameters on the one hand and the operating mode of the rectifier on the other. Specifically, the analysis makes it possible to determine the dependence of the power conversion efficiency and input impedance of the rectifier on the main parameters of the diode, and to optimize diode parameters for specific levels of input power with respect to maximum conversion efficiency.
