Parametric excitation of low-frequency wave turbulence in a nonlinear weakly dispersive LC line
Abstract
It is shown that in the field of two counterpropagating waves of narrow-band high-frequency pumping, dynamic wave turbulence can be excited over a wide spectrum of low frequencies where dispersion is absent. This can occur if, in addition to the reflection of the generated wave at the boundaries, the medium (in the experiment, a nonlinear LC line) is characterized by both quadratic and cubic nonlinearity.
