Natural and forced oscillations of open resonance systems based on dielectric disk resonators
Abstract
A systems approach to the study of resonance devices based on open dielectric disk resonators is proposed. For a two-dimensional model a method of analysis is developed which is based on the spectral representation of the fields and the examination of approximate analytic solutions of the integral equations in the neighborhood of the resonance. The splitting effect is explained, and expressions are obtained for S-matrix elements. It is noted that the results obtained can be used to analyze microwave filters.
