Characteristics of the diffraction of light by regular reflections of an acoustic wave
Abstract
A theoretical analysis of acoustooptic interaction based on multiple acoustic-wave reflections separated by a fixed angle is presented with reference to the development of high-speed acoustooptic devices for information processing. The main features of acoustooptic interaction in a system employing the Bragg regime are examined, and experimental results are shown to agree well with theoretical calculations.
