Steady state of a microwave generator of broadband stochastic oscillations
Abstract
It is shown that in a stochastic-oscillation O-type TWT with a broadband delayed feedback (BDF) there exist superregenerative phenomena which determine the stability of the steady state of this oscillator. Amplification with respect to the small harmonic signal is less, on the average, than amplification of the stochastic large signal arriving at the input of the TWT. The direct feedback which corresponds to the stochastic-oscillation regime does not intersect the transformed amplification characteristics of the harmonic signal.
