Asymptotic characteristics and efficiency of multichannel sequential signal detection
Abstract
The paper considers a multichannel sequential procedure (MSP) of signal detection which is based on statistics admitting representation as a homogeneous Markov process with independent Gaussian increments. Asymptotic formulas are obtained which relate the mean duration of the MSP with probabilities of erroneous decisions and with the number of channels. An MSP for the detection of a pulsed sequence with a random time lag is analyzed.
