Synthesis of FSK signals in the case of minimax constraints on the autocorrelation function
Abstract
The paper examines the problem of obtaining FSK signals with a low sidelobe level in the central zone of the autocorrelation function given a controlled sidelobe level outside the central zone. It is shown that the problem of synthesizing FSK signals given minimax constraints on the sidelobe level of the autocorrelation function is a problem of nonlinear integer programming. This problem can be reduced to the problem of choosing the number of signal pulses at each frequency in the case of which a low sidelobe level in the central zone is assured, and to the problem of the time-positioning of pulses assuring a minimal sidelobe level outside the central zone. Numerical results are presented, and a comparative analysis of these results is made.
