Dynamics of a PLL system with a frequency-phase detector

Attention is given to a phased-locked loop with a proportional-integrating filter and a frequency-phase detector whose piecewise-linear characteristic depends on the difference phase and difference frequency. It is shown that the lock-in band of the system coincides with the synchronism band. The transient processes are characterized.
