Analysis of the effect of intense structural noise on a radio system with pseudonoise signals
Abstract
A method is developed for evaluating the statistical characteristics of a radio system when the distribution function of peaks of the cross correlation function of signal and noise is approximated by a distribution which takes into account information about the first four moments of the random variable. The effects of structural noise on two operating modes are examined and compared: the mode of signal search with respect to delay and the data transmission mode. It is noted that the results obtained can be used for the quantitative assessment of the effect of structural noise on PSK systems and can indicate ways to compensate for such effects.
