Investigation of a slow-wave structure of ring-bar type
Abstract
An approximate calculation method is described which can be used to determine the parameters of a TWT slow-wave structure of ring-bar type in a wide range of excitation frequencies. The method is based on a combination of solutions of the electromagnetic-field equations and the choice of type of current distribution on the conductors. An analysis is presented of a ring-bar slow-wave structure situated in an anisotropic screen with longitudinal conductivity, and a system of dispersion equations in the presence of an electron flux within the structure is obtained. This system was used to determine coupling coefficients and the coupling resistance.
