Radiative-convective heat transfer during turbulent flow of carbon dioxide in a plane channel
Abstract
A formulation is presented for the problem of radiative-convective heat transfer during turbulent flow of a nongray molecular gas in a plane channel with isothermal walls. Radiative transfer is described in a one-dimensional approximation using a model for a locally plane layer and detailed data for a model of a narrow spectrum band. Changes in the convective, radiative, and integral heat fluxes along channels with optically gray and black walls during the cooling of a hot CO2 flux are calculated for various channel widths and flow temperatures.
