On the choice of the equatorial coordinates of celestial bodies from computer printouts during the calculation of their azimuths
Abstract
Algorithms are presented for a standard program yielding equatorial coordinates of celestial bodies with equal coefficients of the influence of errors in the determination of the latitude and longitude of a moving object on the rms error of calculating the azimuth of a celestial body. A method is proposed for processing standard-program printouts which makes it possible to construct domains of the equatorial coordinates of celestial bodies and to determine for them the upper bound of the rms error of calculated azimuths. The results are pertinent to the operation of an onboard astronavigation system.
