The breit interaction in a relativistic calculation of the hyperfine structure of vector mesons
Abstract
The 0^{+} and 1^{} mesons are calculated from a 16component relativistic wave equation with a single parameter interaction. The model gives a reasonable fit to the data, with excellenttogood agreement for ψη_{c}, ψ'η<==>_{c}, F^{*}F and D^{*}D. Predictions include the φ(1850) as the first radial excitation of the φ and υη_{b} splittings which are about twice as large as previous estimates.
