Fast convolution algorithms and associated VHSIC architectures
Abstract
s are presented for 48 papers and 6 dissertations generated under the grant. Topics covered include: (1) methods to find primitive elements (Mersene prime) in certain finite fields; (2) number theoretic transforms, hybrid algorithms, and a fast polynomial transform algorithm for digital filtering in speech, radar, communication and image processing; (3) a number theoretic transform decoder for correcting both errors and erasures of the Reed-Solomon error correcting code; (4) three dimensional reconstruction for X-rays and radar; and (5) an inner product computer, Galois switching theory, and a cryptographic construct for computer system security and multiuser secure communications networks.
