Improving the frequency stability of the oscillation in a parametric generator with a surface-acoustic-wave resonator
Abstract
The stability of the output oscillations of a parametric oscillator using a SAW resonator is studied. The frequency and relative width of the resonance and the quality factor for the acoustic resonance of the device are determined. The change in output frequency of a pumped oscillator versus the change in pump frequency is shown. The results indicate that the use of a parametric SAW oscillator substantially improves the stability of the output frequency.
