The similarity of condensation processes in expanding CO2 jets
Abstract
Condensation in an expanding CO2 jet is studied on the basis of a model of spherical flow into vacuum. A theoretical relationship is derived which links the pressure and temperature of stagnation at which the condensation process occurs in a similar fashion and leads to the same mean size of clusters. A comparison is made with experimental results.
