Channels of energy losses in erbium laser glasses in the stimulated emission process
Abstract
Quantitative estimation of metastable-state absorption cross-section at laser emission wavelength of an erbium glass laser are obtained for the first time. This allows the careful examination of excited absorption and other channels of energy losses on emission characteristics.
