X-ray observations of quasars
Abstract
The wealth of data made available through the Einstein Observatory's hundredfold increase in QSO observational capability allows X-ray emission mechanisms to be elucidated through study of the statistical correlations between such emission and QSO optical and radio luminosities, as well as through analyses of QSO X-ray variabilities on different time scales. Detailed optical and UV spectrophotometric measurements for X-ray-observed QSOs are needed to clarify the correlation between optical and X-ray luminosity in radio-quiet quasars.
