Newly Detected Sources of Non-metastable Ammonia
Abstract
An account is given of new detections of the (J,K) = (2,1) line of para-ammonia in eight regions: W31, W75N (OH), W33 cont, W75S, W33A, DR21, W51E, and NGC7538. The search was conducted in February-March 1982 and February 1983, using the 100-m telescope of the MPIfR. The receiver was a K-band maser, together with an autocorrelator used as a 384 channel spectrometer (system temperature = 80 K). Results for the eight newly discovered sources are plotted and tabulated. Profiles and a contour map for Sgr B2 are included.
