Stability of digital microelectronic devices
Abstract
An attempt is made to generalize and systematize the available circuit engineering experience with a view to developing a formal approach to the synthesis of stable digital circuits. Particular attention is given to the analysis of the functional stability of digital circuits using methods that allow for the effect of hazards and delays. A mathematical formalism for the stability analysis of digital circuits is developed on the basis of the theories finite automata and electrical circuits.
