Energetic ions of solar origin in the radiation belts of the earth.
Abstract
Features characterizing the formation of the spectrum of energetic ions in geostationary orbit are examined on the basis of ATS-6 data. Differential energy spectra of H, He, c, and O ions are constructed. In addition, the relationship between solar and ionospheric sources of ions in the region of the geostationary orbit is investigated, and the spectral characteristics of energetic ions in the radiation belts are considered.
