Curvature effects on two-dimensional turbulent wall jets
Abstract
Temporal mean and turbulence characteristics of two-dimensional wall jets along convex or concave surfaces of constant radii have been measured in a moderate range of curvature. The wall jets are at an inlet to the curved surfaces in a state developed fully as a plane wall jet, where the mean velocity profile becomes similar. Deviations of turbulence energy balances across the wall jets due to the curvature are discussed in comparison with those of a free jet and of a plane wall jet.
