Surface oscillation due to Marangoni-effect in a freely floating sphere
Abstract
The combined effect of liquid oscillation and Marangoni convection caused by a time-oscillatory temperature gradient in the axial direction is investigated for an axisymmetric freely floating liquid sphere. The magnification functions and phases for the velocity and pressure distributions as well as for the free surface elevation are presented in analytical form.
